This move causes the "pitch-black" field condition to appear over the battlefield, which has the following effects:

The base power of Dark-type moves will be increased by 50%, and the base power of Light-type moves will be decreased by 50%.

Synthesis, Morning Sun and Moonlight will only recover 25% of the Pokémon's maximum HP, The move Shadow Ray will not require a turn to charge, SolarBeam has its base accuracy reduced to 50%, Weather Ball becomes a Dark-type move and its base power is doubled, and Growth will always fail.
