This move causes the "pervading light" field condition to appear on the battlefield, which has the following effects:

The base power of Light-type moves will be increased by 50%, and the base power of Dark-type moves will be decreased by 50%.

The move Morning Sun will recover 66.6% of a user's max HP (rounded down), Lux Buster will not require a turn to charge, and Weather Ball becomes a Light-type move and its base power is doubled.

At the end of each turn after this effect begins, each Pokémon in battle has a 30% chance of being cured of any status ailments that they may have.

This move's effects last for five turns. Since these effects are considered an "atmospheric" field condition, they will be replaced by the effects of any other "atmospheric" field-condition, while overlapping with the effects of "terrestrial" and "entity" field conditions. This move's effects last for eight turns if the user is holding a Bright Rock.
