Moves That Received A Type Change
Due to the introduction of PF's three new, unofficial types - Magic, Light and Wind - some of Nintendo's moves are now of a different type than you're used to.
Signature moves, such as Aeroblast, are exempt from type changes, unless they belong to pokémon with type changes themselves. This includes moves that are representative of an entire type, as is the case with SolarBeam, which is too closely bonded with Grass-types to be changed to Light-type.
Additionally, changes have been made to the powers and effects of some moves, to make sure they fit better within the PF universe.
Below, a complete list of these Nintendo moves and their changes is found. Click here for a list of pokémon that received a type change.
