The user creates a mote and raises the user's Defense and Special Defense by one stage each for each use.
In a double/triple battle, the user can target adjacent allies to increase their Defense and Special Defense by one stage each. The Defense and Special Defense boosts on an ally disappear after 5 turns if the user faints or switches out. The user can create up to four motes. Subsequent uses of this move after the fourth mote is created will fail. The potency of the moves Mote Strike, Mote Aid, and Mote Thunder depend on the number of motes created. The mote count and the Defense and Special Defense boosts are reset once Mote Strike, Mote Aid, or Mote Thunder are used. |
