This move hits the target anywhere from 2-5 times per use. There is a 37.5% chance that it will hit 2 times, a 37.5% chance that it will hit 3 times, a 12.5% chance that it will hit 4 times, and a 12.5% chance that it will hit 5 times. Every hit of this move can potentially be critical. This move will continue if it breaks a Substitute before the duration of the move is over. If this move activates a Focus Band, Focus Sash or the Sturdy Ability before the duration is over, subsequent hits will cause the defending Pokémon to faint (the target will be protected from all hits of this move if it uses Endure however). With each hit, this move can also trigger any Abilities of the defending Pokémon that require it to be struck (e.g. Weak Armor, Poison Point). Bide, Counter and Metal Burst will only acknowledge one hit of this move.
In a triple battle, this move may target anyone facing or adjacent to the user. |
