This move hits as many times (within a single turn) as there are conscious party Pokémon without a non-volatile status ailment, in the order they are within the party.

For each hit, this move's base power is equal to the respective party Pokémon's base Attack stat divided by 10, plus 5 (e.g. a base attack of 100 results in a BP of (100/10)+5 = 15). This move thus ignores move-originating modifiers applied to the initiator's Attack stat (e.g. Swords Dance). Other than this, the attacks are considered to be coming from the initiator of this move, e.g. Beat Up will not ignore modifiers from items that the initiator may be holding (such as Choice Band).

Each hit can potentially be critical. This move will continue if it breaks a Substitute before the duration of the move is over. If this move activates a Focus Band, Focus Sash or the Sturdy Ability before the duration is over, subsequent hits will cause the defending Pokémon to faint (however, the target will be protected from all hits of this move if it used Endure). Focus Band can activate repeatedly to prevent fainting, but each chance is independent of the previous one.

Each hit of this move may also trigger any Abilities of the target that can be activated by non-contact Physical attacks (i.e. Weak_Armor. Bide, Counter, Metal Burst and the Life Orb will only acknowledge the last hit of this move.

In a triple battle, this move may target anyone facing or adjacent to the user.
