ANTICIPATION
This pokémon has a sixth sense when it comes to incoming Super-Effective attacks. It will shudder when it sees one coming to warn its trainer.
Senses the foe's dangerous moves.

BATTLE ARMOR
This pokémon's tough exoskeleton makes critical hits impossible.
The Pokémon is protected against critical hits.

CACOPHONY
This pokémon's senses are used to having to cope with loud sounds all the time, which is why it is immune to sound-based attacks and effects.
Gives full immunity to all sound-based moves.

CLEAR BODY
This pokémon's pristine body is unaffected by stat-lowering moves and effects unless they are self-inflicted.
Prevents the Pokémon's stats from being lowered.

DAMP
The humid air that surrounds this pokémon makes detonation difficult, effectively disabling SELFDESTRUCT and EXPLOSION for all battlers. The ability AFTERMATH cannot be activated either.
Prevents combatants from self destructing.

DRY SKIN
This pokémon's skin is very dry. It cannot stand the burning heat of the sun as a result and will loose HP when exposed to the sun. During rain, however, its skin flourishes and its HP will recover.
Reduces HP if it is hot. Water restores HP.

DURABLE
This pokémon's metal is so solid that it doesn't hurt itself when using dangerous moves like SUBMISSION or TAKE DOWN.
Prevents the Pokémon from recoil damage.

EARLY BIRD
This pokémon is a light sleeper, and has a better-than-average chance of waking up on any given turn.
The Pokémon awakens quickly from sleep.

FILTER
This pokémon is able to erect a special type of filter that absorbs impacts and makes Super-Effective attacks deal half-again damage instead of double.
Powers down super-effective moves.

FOREWARN
This pokémon's psychic senses are so well-developed that is able to see what attacks its foe has learned. It does not hesitate to share this knowledge with its trainer.
Determines what moves the foe has.

FRISK
This pokémon has an extremely curious nature. It will investigate, sniffle or touch in order to find any item that may be concealed, including those of the opponent.
The Pokémon can check the foe's held item.
EXAMPLES: Shuppet, Stantler
GRAZE
This pokémon is so large or its metabolism is so fast that it must constantly stop to eat for energy. Because of this, it needs to rest every two turns. It regains some HP during that turn, though.
The Pokémon rests to restore HP every two turns.

HEAT PROOF
The polished body of this pokémon is so well-crafted that it is protected against extreme heat. Therefore it is protected against damage from Fire-type attacks and burns, halving their damage.
Weakens the power of Fire-type moves.

HYDRATION
This pokémon enjoys the water so much, that rain has a healing effect on it. Whenever it starts to rain, any status problems this pokémon may be inflicted with are immediately healed.
Heals status problems if it is raining.

HYPER CUTTER
The sharp edges or points that this pokémon possesses ensure that nothing short of a steel file can lower its Attack stat.
Prevents the ATTACK stat from being lowered.

ICE BODY
This pokémon's body consists of pure, cold ice. Whenever hail or snow sets in, some of it gets added to its body, which recovers this way.
The Pokémon regains HP in a hailstorm.

IMMUNITY
This pokémon, although not Poison-type, has developed an immunity to toxins that rivals that of Poison-types.
Prevents the Pokémon from getting poisoned.

INNER FOCUS
This pokémon is sufficiently focused that it cannot be frightened out of making a move. Well, either that, or it has no eyes; that achieves the same effect. FOCUS PUNCH still poses a problem, though.
The Pokémon is protected from flinching.

INSOMNIA
This pokémon is mostly nocturnal, and quite difficult to put to sleep normally. REST will, of course, fail.
Prevents the Pokémon from falling asleep.

KEEN EYE
This pokémon's vision is so superb that no accuracy-lowering moves work on it.
Prevents the Pokémon from losing accuracy.

LEAF GUARD
Thanks to its plant-like nature, this pokémon thrives when the sun shines. In fact, sunlight has a healing effect on it. Whenever SUNNY DAY is in effect, any status problems are cured right away.
Prevents status problems in sunny weather.
EXAMPLES: Hoppip, Tangrowth
LEVITATE
This pokémon hovers above the ground, and so is immune to Ground-based attacks and effects and the ARENA TRAP ability, even though it isn't technically Flying-type. On the other hand, being airborne also renders it 1.5 times weaker to Wind-type attacks.
Gives immunity to GROUND but weakness to WIND.

LIMBER
This pokémon is so flexible that being paralyzed doesn't really hinder it.
The Pokémon is protected from paralysis.

MAGIC GUARD
This pokémon is mysteriously protected from non-damaging attacks. The effect of any attack that does not do damage just vanishes into thin air. Direct damage will hurt it, though.
The Pokémon only takes damage from attacks.

MAGMA ARMOR
This pokémon's body is so hot that any ice forming on it melts immediately.
Prevents the Pokémon from becoming frozen.

MOLD BREAKER
This pokémon is a rampaging brute and just smashes head-long into battle. It will not pay attention to any effect of other pokémon's abilities and will attack without noticing their effect.
Moves can be used regardless of abilities.

MOTOR DRIVE
This pokémon's body is made to thrive on electricity. When it is hit with an Electric-type attack, its inner electricity-driven processes accelerate, as does its Speed as a result.
Raises Speed if hit by an Electric-type move.

NATURAL CURE
This pokémon's ability to heal itself will even extend to curing status conditions, if it is allowed to escape the thick of battle.
All status problems are healed upon switching out.

OBLIVIOUS
This pokémon is rather slow to pick up on things, so attempts to make it infatuated tend to be embarrassing failures.
Prevents the Pokémon from becoming infatuated.

OWN TEMPO
This pokémon's brain works just a little differently from most, making it quite difficult to confuse.
Prevents the Pokémon from becoming confused.

POISON HEAL
This pokémon, although not Poison-type, shows some toxic characteristics. Because these thrive on poison, this pokémon will recover HP each turn it is poisoned, instead of losing HP.
Restores HP if the Pokémon is poisoned.

RAIN DISH
The leafy 'dish' on top of this pokémon collects rainwater that it can derive extra energy from.
The Pokémon gradually recovers HP in rain.

ROCK HEAD
This pokémon's head is so hard that it doesn't hurt itself when using dangerous moves like SUBMISSION or TAKE DOWN.
Protects the Pokémon from recoil damage.

RUBBER SKIN
This pokémon's body is composed entirely of rubber, thus granting it immunity to all Electric-type attacks.
Gives full immunity to all ELECTRIC-type moves.

RUN AWAY
This pokémon is a fast runner, and able to escape from any foe (although running from a trainer battle is still a no-no.)
Enables sure getaway from wild Pokémon.

SAND VEIL
Living in a desert, this pokémon has learned to use sandstorms to obscure its location. If it is not Ground, Rock or Steel-type, this Ability also prevents sandstorm damage.
Boosts the Pokémon's evasion in a sandstorm.

SHED SKIN
This pokémon is capable of shedding its old skin, growing a new one underneath, to rid itself of unwanted status conditions.
The Pokémon may heal its own status problems.

SHELL ARMOR
This pokémon's tough shell guards its sensitive body parts, ensuring that no enemy attack will be a critical hit.
The Pokémon is protected against critical hits.

SHIELD DUST
This pokémon is constantly enveloped in a fine dust that prevents moves like POISON STING or FIRE PUNCH from ever scoring their possible side effects. Effect-only moves like THUNDERWAVE are not prevented, though.
Blocks the added effects of attacks taken.

SNOW CLOAK
Living in artic wastes, this pokémon has learned to use hailstorms to obscure its location. If it is not Ice-type, this Ability also prevents hailstorm damage.
Raises evasion in a hailstorm.

SOLID ROCK
This pokémon's body consists of hard, solid rocks that absorb impacts and makes Super-Effective attacks deal half-again damage instead of double.

This pokémon's body is reinforced against sonic waves, granting immunity to sound-based attacks and effects.

STICKY HOLD
This pokémon's sludgey body sticks to things, so that stealing items from it is just too difficult to bother trying.
Protects the Pokémon from item theft.

STURDY
This pokémon's body is too solid to penetrate, making One-Hit KO moves worthless against it.
The Pokémon is protected against 1-hit KO attacks.

SUCTION CUPS
The bottom of this pokémon firmly attaches to the ground, allowing it to resist moves like ROAR and WHIRLWIND.
Negates moves that force switching out.

THICK FAT
This pokémon sports a layer of insulation that halves damage from fire and ice.
Raises resistance to FIRE-type and ICE-type moves.

THICK SKIN
This pokémon's skin is thick enough to absorb impacts, so that Super-Effective physical attacks deal half-again damage instead of double.
Protects the Pokémon from super effective hits.

UNAWARE
This pokémon is rather slow to pick up on things, making it completely unaware of any positive stat changes of the foe. The only change it will notice is the Speed of its foe.
Ignores any change in ability by the foe.

VITAL FLOW
This pokémon has an aura of energy around it, which not only protects itself from falling asleep, but all other pokémon on the battlefield as well. REST will, of course, fail.

This pokémon is bursting with energy, so much so that it couldn't even fall asleep if it tried. REST will, of course, fail.

VOLT ABSORB
This pokémon's body is made to channel electricity, so when hit with an Electric-type attack, it actually regains some HP instead of losing it.
Restores HP if hit by an ELECTRIC-type move.

WATER ABSORB
This pokémon lives by taking in water, so when hit with a Water-type attack, it can actually regain some HP instead of losing it.
Restores HP if hit by a WATER-type move.

WATER VEIL
This pokémon is constantly coated in a watery sheen that keeps it cool, even under Fire attacks that would otherwise burn it.
Prevents the Pokémon from getting a burn.

WHITE SMOKE
This pokémon's body constantly issues a dense white smoke that blocks stat-lowering moves and effects unless they are self-inflicted.
Prevents the Pokémon's stats from being lowered.

WIND ABSORB
This pokémon feeds on wind energy, so when hit with a Wind-type attack, it can actually regain some HP instead of losing it.
Restores HP if hit by a WIND-type move.

WONDER GUARD
This pokémon is mysteriously protected from most damaging attacks—an attack has to be Super Effective just to get through to it. However, it is not protected from indirect damage such as LEECH SEED or SANDSTORM.
Only super effective moves will hit.

Abilities That Boost Your Power
ADAPTABILITY
If this pokémon uses an attack that is the same type as it, the move's power does 2 times as much damage (instead of 1.5 times), showing just how versatile a pokémon it is.
Powers up moves of the same type.

ANGER POINT
If this pokémon is hit by a hard-hitting, critical attack, it gets steamed up. In fact, it gets so angry, that its Attack is raised with six levels in order to retaliate.
Raises Attack upon taking a critical hit.

BLAZE
If this pokémon's health drops to a third of maximum, it can boost the power of its Fire-type attacks by 1.5 times to enable it to pull through.
Powers up Fire-type moves in a pinch.

This pokémon takes energy directly from sunlight, so when the sun is shining brightly, it can move twice as fast as usual.
Boosts the Pokémon's Speed in sunshine.

This pokémon's eyes are specially suited for tracking movement, allowing for better accuracy.
The Pokémon's accuracy is boosted.

DOWNLOAD
This pokémon's digital nature allows it reprogram itself to match the specialization of its foe. It will raise one of its stats accordingly.
Adjusts power according to the foe's ability.

FLASH FIRE
This pokémon is good at manipulating heat. If hit with a Fire-type attack, it can use the heat from that attack to supercharge its own fire power. While supercharged, the pokémon's Fire-type attacks deal 1.5 times as much damage, and it is immune to any further Fire-type attacks from the opponent.
Powers up Fire-type moves if hit by a fire move.

FLOWER GIFT
This pokémon has a close bond to sunlight. When the sun is shining brightly, not only will it change its form by flourishing, but it will also raise the stats of its ally.
Powers up party Pokémon when it is sunny.

FOCUS
If this pokémon is inflicted with a status condition, it will compensate by concentrating more, dealing 1.5 times as much damage with its special attacks.
Boosts Sp. Atk if there is a status problem.

If this pokémon is inflicted with a status condition, it will compensate by striking harder, dealing 1.5 times as much damage with its physical attacks.

HOT TEMPER
If this pokémon's health drops to a third of maximum, it reacts by lowering its own Special Defense one level and raising its Special Attack one level.
Boosts Sp. Atk, but lowers Sp. Def when HP is low.

HUGE POWER
This pokémon is able to use its bulky body to make physical attacks hit harder, dealing twice as much damage as its Attack stat would normally indicate.
Raises the Pokémon's Attack stat.

HUSTLE
This pokémon likes to hit hard, dealing 1.5 times as much damage with all of its damaging attacks. However, this gung-ho approach makes its attacks easy to avoid; attack accuracy is only four-fifths of the usual for each move.
Boosts the Attack stat, but lowers accuracy.

IRON FIST
This pokémon has specialized itself in punching foes. As a result, any hit it lands with its fist will deal 20% more damage than it normally would.
Boosts the power of punching moves.

MARVEL SCALE
When this pokémon is suffering from a status condition, the scales on its body compensate by hardening, to raise Defense to 1.5 times its normal level.
Boosts Defense if there is a status problem.

OVERGROW
If this pokémon's health drops to a third of maximum, it can boost the power of its Grass-type attacks by 1.5 times to enable it to pull through.

PAIN
If this pokémon's health drops to one half of maximum, it reacts by lowering its own Defense one level and raising its Attack one level.
Boosts Attack, but lowers Defense when HP is low.

If this pokémon's health drops to one half of maximum, it reacts by lowering its own Attack one level and raising its Defense one level.
Boosts Defense, but lowers Attack when HP is low.

PURE POWER
Daily meditation has raised this pokémon's power to the point where its physical attacks inflict twice as much damage as its Attack stat would normally indicate.
Boosts the power of physical attacks.

QUICK FEET
If this pokémon is inflicted with a status condition, it will compensate by moving faster, increasing its speed by 2 times. This won't work if it got paralyzed, though.
Boosts Speed if there is a status problem.

RECKLESS
This pokémon likes to get rough and attack recklessly. Any attack with recoil will deal twice as much damage as it normally would. This, however, also goes for the recoil.
Powers up moves that have recoil damage.

RIVALRY
This pokémon is very territorial. Therefore, its Attack will rise if it is up against a foe of the same gender, but will lower if it is up against a foe of the opposite gender.
Raises Attack if the foe is of the same gender.

SERENE GRACE
Fortune smiles on this pokémon, so that when it uses an attack that has a chance of causing a side effect, the chance of that side effect doubles.
Boosts the likelihood of added effects appearing.

SIMPLE
This pokémon has an extemele simple nature. It has no strategy in battle and falls easily prey to wild stat changes that will either boost its stats or lower them.
The Pokémon is prone to wild stat changes.

SKILL LINK
This pokémon has a very persistent nature and tends to clamp down on its foes. Moves that hit multiple times hit more frequently in a row as a result of this.
Increases the frequency of multi-strike moves.

SNIPER
This pokémon attacks in a unique way: it launches high-precision attacks from a distance. When such a well-aimed attack becomes a critical hit, it deals thrice instead of twice as much damage.
Powers up moves if they become critical hits.

SOLAR PANELS
This pokémon charges itself by soaking up sunrays. As a result, its Special Attack and Speed stats are raised when the sun shines. However, both stats are lowered when it starts to rain.
Boosts in sunshine, but lowers in rain.

SOLAR POWER
This pokémon flourishes in sunshine, but also gets dehydrated. As a result, its Special Attack stat is raised when the sun shines, but its HP lowers.
Boosts Sp. Atk, but lowers HP in sunshine.

SPEED BOOST
This pokémon can move at insane speeds if it's allowed to build momentum. Every turn this pokémon stays out in battle, its Speed is raised another level.
The Pokémon's Speed stat is gradually boosted.

STEADFAST
This pokémon is unwavering in battle. Each time it flinches after an attack by the opponent, it will compensate by moving faster, increasing its Speed by 1.5 times.
Raises Speed each time the Pokémon flinches.

SUPER LUCK
A bizarre amount of fortune smiles on this pokémon: the chances of its attacks becoming critical attacks double. It can also make use of Dire Hit and FOCUS ENERGY simultaneously.
Heightens the critical-hit ratios of moves.

SWARM
If this pokémon's health drops to a third of maximum, it can boost the power of its Bug-type attacks by 1.5 times to enable it to pull through.
Powers up Bug-type moves in a pinch.

SWIFT SWIM
This pokémon can move fast through water. It can even get a speed boost if it's just raining hard enough, moving at twice its normal speed.
Boosts the Pokémon's Speed in rain.

TANGLED FEET
Because this pokémon's feet are tangled, it will start moving in a very odd way once it becomes confused. This will make it harder to hit; thus, its evasion increases with 20%.
Raises evasion if the Pokémon is confused.

TECHNICIAN
This pokémon executes the attacks which cost it less energy with in the most perfect way possible. As a result, the power of all moves that deal less than Power-60 is boosted by 1.5 times.
Powers up the Pokémon's weaker moves.

TINTED LENS
With its tinted lenses, this pokémon is able to search for weak spots on its foe. For this reason, any attack it uses which would normally be "not very effective" has its power doubled.
Powers up "not very effective" moves.

TORRENT
If this pokémon's health drops to a third of maximum, it can boost the power of its Water-type attacks by 1.5 times to enable it to pull through.
Powers up Water-type moves in a pinch.

UNBURDEN
This pokémon is held down by weight, but will move faster when releaved of that weight. If its held item is lost, therefore, it will move twice as fast as before.
Raises Speed if a held item is used.

Abilities That Harm The Foe
AFTERMATH
This pokémon's body functions in a unique way. Whenever it faints after getting hit by a physical attack, it produces an attack. The foe looses 1/4th of its HP due to this 'aftermath'.
